Job Description

NORTEC Staffing Solutions have several opportunities for highly motivated packers to work in a factory packing fresh produce avocados, custard apples and macadamias (dehusking).
Our client is an inclusive employer providing the opportunity for all to work in a beautiful farm setting in the Ballina-Byron Bay Hinterland. The season runs through to September/ October with the possibility for further work after October with other employers through NORTEC.

The base rate of pay is $25.41 per hour and you can elect to work up to 6 shifts per week depending on the weather and their availability. We are flexible in accommodating preferences for shifts and you can work either a morning shift (starting at 7 or 8am generally) or an afternoon shift starting at 3pm. You will be rostered on a casual basis and shifts are weather dependent and are confirmed at least the day prior.

We are looking for people who show care and attention to detail in their work. These positions will see you standing on a line packing fruit for 5 to 8 hours per shift.

• · Must have a Drivers License and reliable transport
• · Be physically fit and able to stand for 5 to 8 hours
