$39.46 per hour plus superannuation
8am - 4pm - Monday to Friday
Start date asap to August 30 with option to extend
Staff members required in Silverwater and Malabar facilities
Primary Purpose of the role:

This position provides a wide range of clerical, administrative and data entry support to the Clinical Director and Deputy Clinical Director Custodial Mental Health for services located at the Silverwater and Long Bay Correctional Complex's and mental health services state-wide.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Proactive role in the day to day organisation and prioritising of the Clinical Director and Deputy Clinical Directors' respective workloads including diary management, booking of appointments, meetings and organising conference and travel arrangements.
Coordinate Training Education and Study Leave (TESL) paperwork and arrangements for medical staff.
Provide administrative and clerical support to Custodial Mental Health services and ensure effective utilisation of resources.
Assist in the timely recording of patient appointments in PAS and CHIME.
Exercise well developed communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Provide secretarial support to committees, including preparation and distribution of agenda and accompanying papers, recording and distributing minutes, maintaining all records, liaising with members, organising and taking minutes for subcommittees and follow up action.
Respond to enquiries, give relevant information, take and record messages and/or transfer to relevant staff members.
Ensure accurate management of corporate information systems such as telephone directory, visitor access, mail, meeting room usage, motor vehicle running sheets, and roster and payroll information.
Any other duty as directed by the Administration Officer Custodial Mental Health, Clinical Director or Deputy Clinical Director Custodial Mental Health.
Criteria:

Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and a variety of software applications, in particular the Microsoft Office suite of products with high level of accuracy in data entry.
Demonstrated well developed typing skills with a high level of accuracy
Demonstrated ability to prioritise a demanding workload
Demonstrated sound written, verbal and telephone communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of integrity, responsibility and personal accountability and confidentiality
Understanding of medical terminology
Proven ability to work as part of a team with of levels of staff
