We currently have a number of vacancies for full time or casual Demi and Commis Chefs for our 2 hotels: Sir Stamford at Circular Quay and Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport. You choose the location, CBD Sydney or Airport Precinct. Both hotels are located near public transport.

Duties and responsibilities:
Preparing mise-en-place for your designated work station to ensure the smooth running of service;
Prepare all food items in accordance with standard recipes;
Support the senior Chef in keeping up to date with the newest products and recipes;
Supervise junior chefs and coordinate with them daily assignments;
Check food rotation to ensure freshness of all food products, keeping control of food wastage;
Adhere to the Hotels Policies and Procedures;
Meet all health and hygiene requirements and cleanliness.
The successful candidate must have:
An Australian recognized Trade or relevant experience;
Knowledge of South American cuisine would be a plus, but not essential;
The ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen;
Excellent communications skills, friendly and helpful;
A proactive approach to system improvements;
Knowledge of HACCP and relevant food safety accreditations;
Be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
