We have a Chef de Partie position available for the Lake Argyle Resort 2022 season based just 40 minutes outside of Kununurra. In this role you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective food service, with the smooth day-to-day operation in one of our three Commercial Kitchens, consisting of a rotating roster over breakfast, lunch & dinner, with consistent superior guest focus at the forefront of all activities. You will work with the Head Chef to produce an unforgettable dining experience.
In your role will ensure the kitchen complies with sanitation regulations and safety standards while controlling and directing food preparation. You will foster a climate of cooperation and respect within the team while maintaining consistent superior guest focus at the forefront of all activities. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. You will also liaise with front of house staff to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of daily services.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience and cooking in a similar environment
Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to work within a team and autonomously
Ability to prep and organise ahead
Current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable
HACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygiene
Current Drivers License.
It is preferable that you possess either a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and must have a least 3 years experience in commercial kitchens post qualification.
