We are seeking an experienced Chef / Cook for this busy cafe venue located in the Cape York region of remote Queensland.

The café serves fresh food not fast food and are open for lunch and dinner to locals and visitors alike. Fresh seafood is purchased whole, processed and prepared on site with a focus and commitment always on quality.

Cape York is the largest unspoiled wilderness in northern Australia. There are many sights and experiences to enjoy on your days off.


Package:
Casual Role
$35 per hour
Accommodation $50 per week
Free duty meals

Seasonal role until late October / early November. Working in the kitchen on your own, with assistance from the owners, to do predominately lunch services for the busy tourist season.


Duties:
- Preparing menu items
- Cooking meals for lunch (some dinners)
- Stock control / ordering
- Cleaning
- Menu Planning
- General Customer Service
- Other duties as required

Candidate Requirements:
- Must be willing to commit to the season
- Previous experience in a similar role ideal
- Easy going, flexible and willing to work as part of a team
- Drivers licence preferred

Location Details:
- Access Via 4WD or regular flights from Cairns (can pick up from local airport)
- No mobile coverage available
- Access to satellite internet
