Job Description

Researchers at the Sleep and Circadian Rhythms Laboratory at CQUniversity are interested in whether a nutritional intervention, in the form of a drink, may influence the quantity and/or quality of sleep obtained by well-trained male athletes.

The PhD study will be conducted over 4 consecutive days/nights in the accommodation suite at the Appleton Institute and will include assessments of sleep, cognitive function, and exercise performance.

The trial will be running 5-9th of August with the capacity for six participants.

Participants will be healthy men aged between 18 and 40 years.

Participants must be non-smokers who do not take sleeping tablets and have not undertaken night work and/or international travel in the past 3 months.

Participants are required to be well-trained and undertaking ~3 x 2-hour sessions of exercise per week. During the study you will be asked to perform a stationary cycling task twice a day.

You will have your own private bedroom (with Wi-Fi and Netflix) and bathroom and all meals will be provided – all free of charge. Participants are required to live in the accommodation and will not be able to leave for work/study etc.

You will be financially compensated for the inconvenience associated with your participation ($600 gift card).
