ABOUT THE ROLE:

LEF is seeking to secure the full-time position of Guest Services Coordinator at our Chowder Bay accommodation for a minimum 6-month contract, with potential to extend. This position is a client-facing role and includes the opportunity to live onsite. We are excited to welcome an enthusiastic and friendly person to become part of our dynamic Foundation.

Our accommodation facility is located in the unique and historic precinct of Chowder Bay, on the outskirts of the iconic Sydney Harbour, secluded by National Park.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications and requirements:

  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid qualification
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Ability to speak fluent English and relate with both children and adults
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate and/or willingness to undertake Safe Food Handling training essential
  • Experience and/or interest in the hospitality and/or accommodation industry essential
  • Experience and/or interest in the outdoor industry, education or administration an advantage
  • Ability to stay on-site 24 hours during group stays
  • Flexibility in weekly work schedule; including some weekends and public holidays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High standard of customer service
  • Demonstrates initiative, a proactive work ethic and leads by example
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to complete tasks efficiently and with attention to detail
  • Adaptable and decisive in managing dynamic environments and clients
  • Presentable, passionate and committed

The Lodge Host will report to the Chief Business Officer and Facilities & Bookings Coordinator/s. The position includes the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Oversee & manage the Chowder Bay facility and client needs
  • Oversee and provide training and task delegation to support staff in a friendly and supportive manner
  • Oversee and conduct facility preparations prior to client arrival ensuring the facility is of a high standard and client requirements are met (including; food preparation, rooming allocations and condition reports)
  • Oversee and conduct general maintenance of the facility (including; stock take, food and inventory orders and facility upkeep)
  • Oversee and conduct general housekeeping during client’s stay (including; common areas, bathrooms, bedrooms and food preparation areas)
  • Be the first point of contact for clients (including; meeting/greeting, liaising and responding to clients needs throughout their stay)
  • Liaise with external subcontractors (caterers & cleaners) upon arrival & delivery
  • Oversee and provide client briefings upon arrival and departure and for processes during their stay (including; emergency procedures, site overview, meal times and use of local facilities)
  • Provide administrative support to the Bookings Coordinator (including; client paperwork, responding to enquiries, general admin)
  • Complete facility related ad hoc tasks (including; reasonable logistics, set up and pack down for client stays and requests)
  • Management and completion of emergency and incident documentation and reporting and client feedback
  • Conduct and lead staff briefings prior to client’s arrival and staff debriefs upon client departure
  • Oversee and conduct reviews of systems, processes and general facility requirements based on experience and client & staff feedback
