School Sport NT Inc has a Maternity Leave Relief position for a Pathways Coordinator in our Palmerston Office. School Sport NT Inc thru School of Sport Education NT provide representative opportunities for students at Intra-region, Inter-region and interstate programs and represents the Territory in national and cross-jurisdictional Sport Education forums.
This Maternity Leave position is on a casual basis 30 hours per week (during school term). This opportunity is until end of school term in December This position provides effective administrative support for sport education programs in the Top End Region and will have the responsibility for coordinating the School of Sport Education NT Pathways Program for the Top End Region.
The position is to commence as soon as possible.
Key duties and responsibilities
Liaise with the regional Sport Education Coordinator and Sport Education NT to ensure effective communication with schools, teachers, families and team officials regarding program delivery including regional team selection processes.
Provide administrative support to the regional Sport Education Coordinator, schools, families and volunteers in the Top End Region.
Coordinate recruitment of regional team officials from schools, sporting organizations and the wider community. Liaise with all appointed officials to ensure accuracy of information and role clarity.
Coordinate all aspects of the regional team selection process in collaboration with appointed regional team officials.
Collaborate with local sporting clubs and organizations to gain support for the pathway’s programs.
Manage the logistics, finance and administration for regional team participation in the Inter-region program.
Contribute to regional data collection.
Selection criteria (essential)
Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills suitable for dealing with a range of internal and external clients (teachers, parents, students) in a sensitive environment.
Effective organizational skills with proven ability to work with minimum supervision and in collaboration with the regional Sport Education Coordinator, volunteers in the Top End Region and Sport Education NT staff Territory wide.
Strong administrative skills including records management, preparing routine correspondence with the ability to demonstrate competence in using computers and software appropriate to a range of tasks.
High level of professional and personal integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion at all times.
Available to work during school hours with flexibility to attend after school hours meetings and sport programs.
Current Ochre card, NT Driver’s License and availability of own vehicle
Qualifications relevant to key responsibilities.
Broad understanding of the policies, procedures and strategic directions of the region
Broad understanding of Sport Education NT policies and programs.
