Job Description
Watershed Farm & Bowness Stud are looking for a highly capable and confident horse handler to join our team at a busy farm located near Young, NSW to start now. This is a role for someone with extensive, hands-on experience handling young, unbroken horses — particularly those with a background in the breeding, racing or performance industry.
The role includes:
Educating and handling well-bred, unbroken weanlings and yearlings for sales preparation
Leading, grooming, and preparing horses for sales and inspections
General horse care, feeding, maintenance and farm duties
You must have:
Strong horse handling experience – especially with young, unbroken or green horses
The ability to work safely, calmly, and confidently around valuable livestock
A proactive, hardworking attitude and willingness to help across all areas of the farm
Good communication, honesty and posiive teamwork skills
Details:
Minimum commitment: 4+ months – please only apply if you can stay for this entire period or longer, including the upcoming Christmas and New Year period (no holidays during this employment duration due to the sale prep)

Bowness Stud and Watershed Farm is a large thoroughbred horse breeding, agistment and sale preparation farm, near Young in NSW. We enjoy employing experienced, knowledgeable and competent handlers and educators of strong young thoroughbred horses.
Anyone with an Australian work visa with extensive horse experience is most welcome to apply, we are a regional farm so we are eligible to sign off for the 88 days WHV 2nd Visa.
