Position: General Maintenance

Location: Annabel Neasham Racing, Warwick Farm, Sydney.

Job Type: Part-time, up to 24 hours per week

Salary: $35 per hour

Annabel Neasham Racing is a prestigious and dynamic horse racing establishment dedicated to excellence in thoroughbred training and racing. Our facilities and grounds provide the perfect environment for our horses' care and development. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a General Maintenance personnel to assist in maintaining the stables and grounds in pristine condition.

Job Summary:
The General Maintenance position at Annabel Neasham Racing is a crucial role responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep of our stables and grounds.


Perform general maintenance tasks to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the stables and grounds.
Conduct regular inspections of stable areas, paddocks, and surrounding areas to identify and address any repair or maintenance needs.
Ensure the proper functioning of facilities such as lighting, plumbing, and fencing.
Assist in routine cleaning and sanitization of stables and surrounding areas.
Maintain and repair equipment used in the stable area as needed.
Conduct basic repairs to stable structures and fixtures when required.
Help with the organization and storage of supplies and equipment.
Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance efforts and ensure a safe environment for staff, visitors, and horses.
Assist in basic gardening tasks to maintain the beauty of the landscape around the stables.
Uphold health and safety standards to ensure the well-being of both personnel and horses.

A self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Previous experience in general maintenance and groundskeeping is essential.
Knowledge of horse care and handling is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn about equine-related maintenance tasks is essential.
Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating various tools and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify maintenance needs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
A genuine passion for maintaining a clean and orderly environment for horses.
