Picture yourself under a cascading waterfall, walking along a pristine beach, swimming in a water hole, or driving on a road less travelled.Can you see it? If you need some visual inspiration for your travels around Australia, Pinterest is definitely the place to look.

Now we didn’t expect this exercise to be so painful, as we now want to hit the open road ourselves… but here is a list of the 10 most tantalising – and intriguing – Pinterest accounts for people travelling around Australia and beyond.

1. See Australia

Tourism Australia’s official Pinterest page certainly shows you why there is no place in the world like Australia. The diverse nature of Australia is shown through boards profiling each of the countries major cities, as well as beaches, the outback, the flora and the fauna. There’s also boards dedicated to experiences including the ultimate wineries to visit and great walks. There is something for every kind of traveller here, whether you’re a city chick, beach lover or looking to get off the beaten track.

2. Pretraveller

Pretraveller’s aim ‘is to enable people to travel with confidence’. And from their collection of boards, we believe they do just that! Encompassing more than just Australia, Pretraveller has gathered a brilliant set of resources for the avid traveller, from tips to help you plan your trip, through to managing your budget and starting a travel blog.

Pretraveller also provides a wealth of information on exploring Australia, from cool Aussie campsites, ‘big’ tourist attractions, and a ‘must see’ board.
