Barista/ Foh All Rounder

Join the passionate team at Fenton IG within its all-new Café Ruhe, located in the Gulf of Carpentaria! Café Ruhe seeks an experienced barista/ front-of-house superstar for an immediate start in Groote Eylandt, Northern Territory.

This position is live-in and hands-on; unfortunately, FIFO will not be considered.

Fenton IG was established in 2021 by passionate and bubbly personalities committed to showcasing culinary delights and genuine service! Today, Fenton IG successfully operates and manages multiple venues across urban and remote Australia, led by highly motivated and passionate management.
Café Ruhe is a newly established business located in Alyangula, of Groote Eylandt, opening its doors in early March 2023. Café Ruhe operates from 5 am to 10 pm, 7 Days/Week providing high-end Al A Carte, Pizza, Beverage, and a range of Grab N Go options alongside convenience retail. We envision Café Ruhe as a place for family and friends to conjure as we believe life is genuinely gracious when connecting with those around us.

What we need:
Café Ruhe seeks an experienced barista and front-of-house superstar with solid customer service skills. We seek motivated, passionate, and committed individuals or couples with integrity, pride, and impeccable work ethics.
You should have experience within a Cafe or high-volume hospitality venue.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a customer-centric service that represents the Café Ruhe brand.
Make great coffees and other beverage items – Experience with Latte Art is desirable.
Preparing and serving our brand-new bubble tea product.
Complete POS Transactions – Experience with Kounta/Lightspeed Desirable
Package and handle a range of food items per the company’s Food handling policies
Maintain consistent stock levels of front-of-house, retail, and beverage lines
Assist with closing and opening of the Café when required.
Maintain a working knowledge of Café Ruhe products, including retail lines
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the establishment.
Assist in light kitchenhand duties if needed.
Maintain labelling/dating policy and procedure on all food and beverage items
Liaise with General Manager to fulfil any other day-to-day tasks.
Primary Skills, Qualities, and Experience
Passionate. Committed.
Possess Integrity and Pride in the quality of work.
Minimum three years experience in a similar role.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to multitask.
Ability to work effectively within a team or autonomously.
Experience with remote work or an understanding of remote work
Barista experience is highly desirable.
