Back Of House Staff Required

Job Description

Looking for experienced Back of House staff at a remote Tourist Park located 4 hours south of darwin. Short distance from the natural thermal pools of Bitter Springs in Elsey National Park.

The Role

This is a remote live on-site role, where you will be responsible for the back of house operations in our busy tourist park restaurant.

Key Responsibilities include:

Assist in doing dishes
Assist in food prep as needed
Taking our trash, and cleaning equipment.
Organisation of Kitchen, Dry goods store, Fridges and Freezers.
Cleaning and Clearing of Kitchen area
Maybe required to do some preparing of menu items as cooks require.
Cleaning up stations and taking care of left over food to food handling safety standards.
Mopping of Kitchen, dry store, walk in fridges.
After restaurant hour kitchen clean up.
Maybe required to help front of house as needed.

About the Location:
Territory Manor Motel and Caravan Park is situated in the township of Mataranka NT, located 4hrs south of darwin on the main stuart highway. Guest amenities include swimming pool, camp kitchen, laundry and fully licensed restaurant onsite. Seating capacity of around 300. The township is home to two thermal pools, one of the most photographic thermal pools is located a short 2km from out tourist park in Elsey National Park.

What we are looking for.

Someone who is dedicated to working as a team.
Motivated to keep restaurant clean
Must be able to stand for 6 to 8 hours shifts, able to lift heavy boxes and handle a hot kitchen.
Able to meet scheduling commitments.
Proven experience in Back of House role, including experience with commercial dishwashers and other kitchen equipment.
Understanding of Food safety requirements and hold a food handling certificate in Australia
Responsible service of Alcohol is a bonus
Great at multi tasking.
Good communication skill and ability to understand verbal instructions. Good memory skills and good english speaking.
Must be able to work rotating shifts, and evening work.
Must be well presented, enthusiatic for the type of role.
