Job Description
Whyalla Feedlot?
You’ll be working at Whyalla Beef, one of Australia’s largest and technically innovative feedlots. With a current capacity of 55,000 head, this will grow to 75,000 head when expansion works are completed by mid-2024. Located in the Southern Downs, 25km northwest of Texas on the Queensland / New South Wales border. The town of Texas is perched on the banks of the picturesque Dumaresq River.
What is the opportunity?
- Inducting, drafting and dispatching cattle
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ensure cattle are handled using low stress livestock handling principles
- Ensure all livestock operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health and safety requirements, policy, procedure, compliance, and regulatory requirements
What experience are we looking for?
- Previous cattle handling experience
- Willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and good communication skills
- A team player
