Au Pair/farm Hand

We are seeking our next live in Au Pair/Farm Hand t to join our little family for an immediate start. Must be able available to start in next 2 weeks.

We operate a farm, an Irrigation Business and an Occupational Therapy Business , juggling a large landscaping project, a cattle/crop farm and providing the best possible care for our 15month old baby boy 13km from Mudgee. Mudgee is a beautiful country town that has a focus on wine and tourism. Mudgee has a great backpacker community and we can put you in contact with other Au Pairs. We have hosted many times before so we have a track record.

We have only one 15month old baby boy and another baby on the way.
We are an easy going family with a very busy schedule. We would like a non smoking female around 23 – 28 years old with experience with children and a strong work ethic. Your duties would include

*cooking family meals including meat based meals *laundry and general cleaning *Swimming and taking our son to activities *helping with farm work/lawn mowing and gardening *some traveling with us to Orange as needed for work

You would have your own room with queen bed, TV, air conditioning, toilet & shower. You will share a kitchen.

Essential Skills – Previous work and love of working with children. – Able to cook a variety of meals
Must have experience driving long distances/driving on country and dirt roads

Desirable skills
First aid/CPR
Have experience with livestock or at minimum not be afraid of cattle and love dogs
Have experience or ability to safely operate a farm ute, large mower and a quad bike.
If you have your own car this will allow you to travel on your weekends off and do your own thing.

As a person you will;
Have an outgoing personality who understands what it takes to be a mature family member,
Be flexible with hours some days will be longer than others or events are on weekends we need assistance with
Be extremely organised and flexible – things change constantly in a business of this nature.
Be able to follow straight forward instructions and self-manage your work flow.
Not be afraid to get out around the farm, help out and get your hands dirty
Be a non-smoker – no exceptions.

This role is definitely a live-in role for a single person. You will be supplied full board (accommodation/food/beer/access to car/wifi/ + $$). 2nd year visa payslips. You will need to provide proof you hold a driver’s license & hold travel insurance.

You will be described as a self-starter, organised, someone who displays lots of energy and demonstrates initiative in spades. Not be addicted to your smart device whilst at work.
