Job Description
The Opal has recently undergone a multi-million renovation including a brand new premium-appointed bar, bistro, lounge, function room, restaurant and kitchen. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic bartender and barista to join our fantastic team. You will be responsible for providing an excellent guest experience, able to create classic and innovative beverages that exceed customers’ needs and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, alcohol and non-alcohol beverages for bistro, lounge and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm they meet legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• Experience as Waiter/Waitress or Barista training (desirable)
