Job Description
A 6000 ha cropping farm about an hour northeast of Esperance, WA (Cascade) requires two experienced machinery operators to start early October and stay until end of December.
The main responsibility will be operating either a John Deere S690 harvester with an 18m cutting front or a John Deere quadtrac tractor to pull a chaser bin.
Hours during harvest will be 12+ hour shifts, 6 or 7 days a week. The farm runs 2 headers on 24 hour shifts, so applicants may be required to do night shift.
Applicants for these positions must have previous experience operating large scale machinery and those with GPS autosteer experience are strongly preferred.
Pay rate is $28/hour for experienced operators.
Accommodation provided in a house on the farm and a vehicle can be arranged to go to town for shopping and activities.
Staff must arrange their own meals and an evening meal is provided when doing long hours during harvest.
