Kitchenhand / Cafe Service

We are looking for someone to join our team to start as soon as possible. The position is a combination of kitchenhand and customer service. Applicants with food industry experience are preferred but we would make an exception for the right candidate. We are looking for someone who can fit in with the team, have a great attitude and a willingness to learn.

We are a café restaurant business on Thursday Island in the Torres Strait. We serve a range of pizza, chicken and breakfast. Our business hours are 7 days a week from 7am – 9pm. You would be working 35-45 hours a week, at award wage rates. We are able to offer shared accommodation at low rent with meals provided on shift.

Our remote tropical island location means that this job makes you eligible for your 2nd year visa (462 Visa holders only) and you must be willing to do a minimum 3-6 month stay. Sponsorship for permanent residency can be offered for applicants with the right qualifications.
