Qualified General/mobile Mechanic

YBS Ag Supplies are excited to offer this full-time position based in Birchip, a small rural town with a strong sense of community.

We are seeking an experienced, trade qualified mechanic preferably with a background in agriculture and machinery.

The job will require working on a variety of agricultural and rural machinery both big and small including refurbishment, servicing, maintenance & repairs.

Responsibilities
• Carrying out routine servicing, general repairs & maintenance both in a workshop and mobile role.
• Corrective & preventative maintenance as part of a scheduled maintenance programme.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, fault finding & diagnostics.
• Travelling to and from local job sites in dedicated light service vehicle
• Share and offer knowledge to other non-mechanical members of staff to assist in sales

Requirements
• Mechanic or Fitter trade certificate.
• Minimum 2 years post trade experience - not essential but highly regarded.
• White card (Occupational Health & Safety Induction card).
• Forklift licence- will be highly regarded.
• Current Heavy Combination licence – will be highly regarded
• First Aid Qualified - will be highly regarded
• Road Traffic Management - will be highly regarded.
• Ability to work productively in a team environment.
• Fit and energetic, with a good work ethic.
