About the role
GC Civil is an established Civil Construction company
We have multiple bridges & civil projects across NSW
We are actively seeking experienced Excavator Operators and Civil Construction workers
Job tasks:
Demolition of existing bridges
Piling
Construct bridge abutments and decks
Concreting
Steel fixing
Formwork
Skills and experience
You need to be:
Experienced: 3 years extensive experience in Excavator operation to detail trim proficiency, and in concreting, formworking, steelfixing, on civil construction projects
Team player: enjoy a team spirit and work well with others, with an excellent work ethic
Focused: Strong "attention to detail" attitude
Read Plans: high level of proficiency in reading engineering plans and drawings, can setout on site and establish RL levels from benchmarks
Responsive: you have strong communication and reporting skills
Think Safe: Have a strong safety culture
Can-do approach: Positive, pragmatic, Proactive, think ahead
Own transport to drive to/from work
Physically fit
NSW Government WHS Construction Industry Induction Card (Green/White Card)
The Ideal candidate will:
- Have their own ute and hand tools
- Be super reliable - we don't have time for no-shows or excuses
- Be prepared to travel and work across NSW - we have jobs everywhere
- Thrive under pressure - we're flatout busy
- Have a HR license or greater
- Be a skilled excavator operator
