Warehouse Labourer/ Factory Worker

WAREHOUSE PACKER



We are looking for reliable, energetic staff with a great attitude to join a well established homewares store in our warehouse space. Much of this work will need to be done autonomously following training.



Situated on the Mornington Peninsula we are looking for someone to be available 3 days a fortnight in this flexible but permanent position. Starting on a casual basis you will grow into this important and trusted position over time.



Responsibilities and Duties include:

Receiving and dispatching goods – manual handling including physical stacking and lifting of boxes

Picking orders and assembling packs

Foundry work- casting alloy decorations onto pre prepared bed frames

Grinding and Polishing castings

Transport of bed frames to powder coaters

Preparing and assembling wooden bed slats

Maintaining an excel spreadsheet

Packing and wrapping according to Company guidelines

Getting the orders ready to ship

Maintaining documentation for both incoming and outgoing goods

Maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Keeping the warehouse organised to enable high stock count accuracy

Complying with OH&S Standards as per the Company’s policies

General Warehouse duties and assisting elsewhere as required



What We Are Looking For:

Physically fit – some parts will weigh up to 25kgs

Ability to work independently & meet deadlines



The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work and has great attention to detail when it comes to clean and neatly presented packing. You remain professional under busy periods and work to complete all tasks at hand. We would welcome your initiative in helping us find ways to improve the packing processes to make them as efficient as possible.



We have traded through all the CoViD restrictions. You will be working in a well ventilated, CoViD safe workplace with limited exposure to no more than 4 people at a time.
