Are you a highly skilled and proactive Diesel Technician with a passion for outstanding customer service? Become an integral part of our dynamic team, reporting to the Field Service Supervisor. You'll provide same-day, safe breakdown repair services for our valued customers' onsite equipment. Your typical day will include technical troubleshooting, diagnostics, precise repairs, and meticulous maintenance on Cat equipment and components. Upholding safety standards, managing time efficiently, and collaborating with our Field Service support team will be essential. Fully qualified with experience in Cat machinery, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety, along with a valid driver's license for travel in Victoria or Tasmania, will make you the ideal candidate. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Conducting thorough and accurate diagnoses and repairs on diesel engines, systems, and components in various vehicles and equipment.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections, to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilising advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and identify complex mechanical issues, ensuring timely and precise resolutions.
- Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in strict compliance with safety standards, guaranteeing the utmost safety for everyone involved.
- Skilfully communicating with team members and customers to provide regular updates on repairs and maintenance progress, enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of work performed and parts used, supporting effective documentation and reporting.
- To be considered for this position, you should have proven and extensive experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Technician, proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems. Strong mechanical aptitude, effective troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. A valid driver's license and flexibility to work in - Victoria or Tasmania are required. Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications in Diesel Mechanics, previous experience with heavy-duty equipment, and knowledge of electrical systems and computerized diagnostics.
