Are You Our Unicorn?

We are a busy family of 5 (plus lazy Labrador) looking for an experienced, energetic, practical and happy-minded Au Pair/Nanny with great initiative to join our family ASAP in Collaroy (Northern Beaches, Sydney).

ABOUT US
· Two boys (aged 6 and 4.5yrs) and one girl (aged 3) who are spirited, have great individual personalities, and love being outdoors and having new adventures
· Eldest is in school. Younger two are in daycare 3x days/week
· Mum and Dad run their own business – which is growing quickly (hence the busy’ness!)
· We’re an experienced Nanny, Au Pair and Mother’s Helper family – references available
· Flat, 10min walk to Fishermans, Long Reef and Collaroy Beaches as well as the local cafes, shops and the social Collaroy Hotel (pub)
· 7 min walk each way to buses to the City, the Brookvale and Manly nightlife, and the rest of the Northern Beaches

ABOUT THE ROLE
· 35 hours/week for $350 pocket money (paid weekly) PLUS $20/hr for additional babysitting (should you wish)
· BONUS $500 upon completion of 6 months
· Weekdays only - NO weekend work (unless you’d like to occasionally babysit)
· All Bills, Food, Rent, WiFi and Streaming Services (Netflix, Disney) paid for
· Queen sized bedroom with private ensuite on a separate, mezzanine level of the house
· Access to our automatic car for occasional personal use
· Daily tasks include the usual – morning/evening kids readyiness including preparing their meals, getting ready for school, tidying their rooms, packing lunches, etc.
· 2x days/per week you will be sole carer for the two youngest – and you have experience with this. The other 3x days per week is just morning and evening shift i.e. your days will be free (hello Beach!).
· Light household duties – keep kitchen clean and tidy, laundry (we have a weekly Cleaner for the rest)
· Occasional school/daycare drop-off

ABOUT YOU
· You’ve done this before and understand what’s involved with looking after multiple young children in a busy household – experienced Au Pairs/Nannies with references need only apply please
· You LOVE spending time with kids and coming up with new activities
· You are a go-getter, have great initiative and sense of responsibility, a natural regard for the safety of children, and you do not sit around waiting to be told what to do
· You appreciate that kids usually means a mess follows – and have a good nature about cleaning up (and getting them to help!)
· You have a fun nature – but can be firm when children argue and test boundaries
· You enjoy cooking and coming up with new meal plans and recipes for the kids
· You have a driver’s license – and are an experienced, confident driver
· You are a good swimmer – and are confident to look after kids at the beach
· You appreciate that parent’s running their own business need a certain level of flexibility and support on the home front – you help Captain the ship!
