Looking for experienced short order cook with experience in street food and pizzas at a remote Tourist Park located 4 hours south of darwin. Short distance from the natural thermal pools of Bitter Springs in Elsey National Park.

The Role
This is a remote live on - site role, where you will be responsible for the cooking of menu items in our busy tourist park restaurant.

Key Responsibilites include;

Prepare ingrediants beforehand to ease the flow of food prep during business hours.
Clean food prep areas.
Fries, Grills, Boils and bakes ingredients that are on restaurant menu
Ensures compliances
Routinely checks inventory and stock levels
Manages workflow to determine the prioritisation of orders.

About the location
The Territory Manor Motel and Caravan Park is situated in the township of Mataranka NT. Located 4 hrs south of Darwin on the main stuart highway. It has 26 unique rammed earth motel rooms, and 48 powered sites and unlimited unpowered camping. Swimming pool and camp kitchen on site and a fully licensed restaurant with a seating capacity of 300. The township is home to two thermal pools, one of the most photographic thermal pools is located just 2km from our establishment in Elsey National Park.

What we are looking for
The Territory Manor is well know for its good food in the area, and so we are looking for short order cooks to continue with this standard. In addition to this you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

Minimum 1 year experience as a short order cook.
Must be able to handle a high volume of customer orders.
Can ensure food prep areas are clean and sanitized at all times
Must be able to fill in appropriate safety temperature sheets as required by law.
Must have demonstratable ability to serve orders promptly while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Must have prior experience with relevant tools and industrial cookware, such as deep fryers, combi ovens, microwaves, grills and gas cooktops.
Must be 18 years or older
Have good communication skills and good english
Strong multi tasking abilities
Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of short order meals
Must have food handling supervisor certificate or higher qualifications.
