Job Description
We are a picturesque lemon and vegetable farm on the Central Coast of NSW - just 1 hour from Sydney. We have an opening at our farm for a live in couple or a single backpacker to take over from our existing English backpacker couple who after 6 months with us are leaving to travel. They are provided live in accommodation in return for 6 hours work a week and we top this up with paid work on the farm at the horticulture award rate of $26.73 / hour - picking, planting, weeding and some maintenance jobs. The couple also work full-time at a local warehouse circa 30-40 hours a week packing books - which they are happy to introduce the relevant workers to secure jobs (they are currently hiring backpacker replacements). Your own car would be essential.
Non-Essential but well regarded skills / experience - Soil / Food testing or Business to Business sales skills
The cottage is simple with air-conditioning and free wifi and would require sharing with one other farm worker who has a separate bedroom.
Our postcode is not eligible for the 88 day vusa / 2nd year visa extension.
