Experience the real Australia here! Located off the beaten path midway between Rainbow Beach and Airlie Beach, Gladstone offers the unique blend of country, coast, entertainment, and shopping. Go adventuring like a true local to one of the many hidden beaches off the Southern Great Barrier Reef or come relax by the pool. We have a licensed bar, hair salon with qualified hairdressers and our very own masseuse. Come join the other happy backpackers and become part of the amazing staff!

We are looking for someone with a bright personality to help with cleaning and check in/outs. There is also work available for some basic renovations/maintenance that need to be done on the property such as painting and building. Having an RSA and bar experience is a plus!

All interested must apply no further in advance than a month before arrival. We ask this as we know peoples plans change when travelling and don't want to be let down. We also accept longer term stays, if people are looking for internships.

We are offering free accommodation, adventure activities, Wifi, laundry, pool, animals (meet Rafael the turtle, dog Charlie, snake Gary and an iguana George) in exchange for 3.5 hours of work a day. This includes a variety of cleaning duties, reception duties and bar work. Since we are a small backpackers some days may be more or less work, however we always have ongoing projects you can jump into. If you go above and beyond you can earn a free day trip excursion, meal or beverage. We prefer a minimum of 2 weeks but if you have amazing skills just send us a message and we can arrange something. If you are able to stay longer than you can join some of our paid activities for free! (NOTE: There's no actual payment, you'll work in exchange for what's listed above. If you are travelling as a couple we will try our best to get you a private room during your stay (depending on bookings).
