We have a wide array of aspects covered at our hostel and would love skills and experience or those motivated and willing to learn new skills for these various tasks at Gladstone Backpackers, including:
Socialising and engaging with guests
Planning/ setting up guest areas
Reception duties
Housekeeping
Bartending
Lawn & Garden Care
Animal Care
Adventures, tours and promoting our tour desk
Social Media, marketing, events and functions

For the right people this is an opportunity to join our adventures and become part of our family, connections and enjoyable interactions with fellow travelers and have accommodation provided with other incentives which may include discounted adventures, drinks, other discounts on travel options.
We request a minimum commitment of 4 weeks to work with us. While the work you perform will not count towards a visa, Gladstone has a valid postcode (4680) for the regional work required to extend your Working Holiday Maker (WHM) visa (subclass 417 or subclass 462), and we can assist you in connecting with suitable venues if you stay with us long term while completing this (conditions apply).
