Bowness Stud and Watershed Farm require very knowledgeable, experienced and confident horse educators of young thoroughbred horses. Please only apply if your resume demonstrates extensive past horse skills and experience.
The role involves intensive yearling sale preparation, including lunging, educating yearlings to stand correctly and lead/walk out for parades, grooming, washing, medicating, feeding, cleaning stables and other duties as required. Must be very confident handling, hand walking and educating big strong colts and have previous stable hand experience. The role also involves medicating unwell or horses with an injury, plus foal and broodmare handling. Must also be able to identify horse wellness, condition and health.
We require a commitment of at least 4 - 6 months work.

Bowness Stud and Watershed Farm is a large thoroughbred horse breeding, agistment and sale preparation farm, near Young in NSW. We enjoy employing experienced, knowledgeable and competent handlers and educators of strong young thoroughbred horses.
Anyone with an Australian work visa with horse experience is most welcome to apply, we are a regional farm so we are eligible to sign off for the 88 days WHV and possibility of ongoing sponsorship for the right people.
Young is a beautiful country town with lots of facilities and amenities, including Woolworths, IGA & Aldi supermarkets, Big W, Bunnings, cafes, pubs and more.
