Cattle Station - Experienced Gardener/maintenance Worker

About the role:

AWX is currently seeking an experienced Gardener / Maintenance Person for work on Cattle station based 45mins from Roma, QLD.

Our client is a large Australian owned corporate cattle company focused on operating successful sustainable and profitable agricultural enterprises. One of the companies’ enterprises is an aggregation of 2 cattle stations located in the Western Downs / Maranoa regions of Southwestern Queensland on 13,000 hectares of improved grazing and cropping country.

This exciting role exists with a challenging and rewarding opportunity to maintain and further develop iconic trophy homestead and surrounding compound. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic young team and be closely located to main Centre of Roma.

The successful individual will be charged with managing station presentation, aesthetics, and developments. The applicants for this job will have the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.

An attractive pay rate will be offered based on the applicant’s knowledge and skill set. Included in the package is onsite accommodation based 45 min from Roma. 4G service is also available at the station.

What you will bring to the table:

Previous experience in a similar role
An understanding of pop-up irrigation systems.
Operation of garden maintenance equipment (zero-turn mowers, tractors, brush cutters, etc)
Understanding of plant health requirements.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Excavator & skid steer Licence advantageous
Key Duties:

This role will include but not limited to:

Managing station presentation, aesthetics, and developments.
Maintain existing established gardens and compound.
Design and implement fertiliser and maintenance programs.
Plan and schedule workflow.
Manage annual gardening budget.
