Workshop General Hand/ Tradesman's Assistant

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated General Hand to join our team. As a General Hand, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting day-to-day workshop operations. Your tasks will include washing cars, moving vehicles, assisting mechanics, changing tires, and performing basic auto repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Car Washing and Cleaning:
o Wash and vacuum vehicles to ensure they are clean and presentable.
o Maintain the workshop and machine store in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
• Vehicle Movements:
o Assist with moving vehicles within the workshop and parking.
• Basic Auto Repairs:
o Carry out general and emergency repairs using provided tools and equipment.
• Store Support:
o Handle goods on behalf of the Store Administrator.
o Assist in maintaining inventory and handling pick-ups.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Current valid NSW Driver’s License.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in fixing vehicle and equipment faults.
• Experience using a range of tools and equipment associated with electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Professional attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.
Preferred (but not essential):
• Trade qualification as an Automotive Mechanic.

Work Schedule:
• Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm
