Are you a seasoned web back end engineer looking to make an impact in the world of AI technology? Knowz, a cutting-edge AI platform born from Desygner, is seeking a Back End Lead Engineer to take ownership of our infrastructure and drive the development of innovative solutions.
The Role
As the Back End Lead Engineer at Knowz, you will be responsible for owning and enhancing our existing web implementation, including API endpoints, connections with in-house AI services, asynchronous tasks (queues), and websockets. Additionally, you will continue to develop connectors with external platforms and authentication mechanisms, collaborating closely with our CTO and the frontend team. You will play a key role in defining and implementing core components of the Knowz platform, including web building blocks, data-lake inputs, API endpoints, and integrations with Desygner.
Requirements
Proven experience in back end development, with expertise in PHP and Symfony framework.
Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
Familiarity with asynchronous task processing and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS).
Knowledge of websockets and real-time communication protocols.
Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Passion for AI technology and a desire to innovate and drive continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but Beneficial)
Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of security best practices for web applications.
Previous experience working in Agile development environments.
