Job Summary:
VTF is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team, focusing on the management and installation of timber hoarding systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, installing, and maintaining secure and durable hoarding around construction and demolition sites to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes and using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials.
• Customize timber hoardings to fit specific site needs, including adjusting for uneven ground and varying wind loadings.
• Work closely with engineers and adhere to their specifications to ensure that hoarding systems meet all safety and regulatory standards.
• Install additional safety features such as gates, locks, and stabilizers.
• Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standard of quality and safety.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of projects.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Qualified Carpenter
• Proven experience as a carpenter, specifically with experience in hoarding and temporary construction environments.
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and structural requirements.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• High level of physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Current driver’s license
• White Card (Construction Induction Training Card) is essential.
