Hotel Rottnest and the newly opened Samphire Rottnest, located on the premiere tourist destination Rottnest Island, is well known for offering a unique experience with amazing views over Thomson Bay. We are entering a new and exciting era and we need the perfect team to continue delivering the service we are famous for.

Samphire Rottnest will offer 80 suites, pools, Food and Beverage options and multiple indoor/ outdoor function facilities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Steward supervisor and Stewards to work within the Kitchen Brigade. You will be enthusiastic, motivated and able to work well in a very fast paced environment. Having worked in a similar role within the hospitality industry, you will be a team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Steward supervisor role:

• Regular cleaning and washing of equipment, utensils and dishes in all food preparation areas and restaurants
• Performing and maintaining a heavy-duty cleaning cycle of kitchen appliances and kitchen areas on a regular schedule
• Supervising all chemicals and cleaning accessories required for kitchen operation,
• Ability to supervise and perform kitchen shut down
• Supervise additional stewarding staff
• Other duties as determined from time to time in relation to the overall Hotel Rottnest and Samphire Rottnest guest experience

Steward Role:

• Regular cleaning and washing of equipment, utensils and dishes in all food preparation areas and restaurants
• Storing all dishes equipment and utensils in their correct place
• Assisting with food preparation
• Perform kitchen shut down at the end of the day
• Other duties as determined from time to time in relation to the overall Hotel Rottnest and Samphire Rottnest guest experience



To be considered for these positions it is essential that you have the following key attributes:

• 2+ years’ experience – Steward supervisor
• 1+ years’ experience - Steward
• Worked in a large volume environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Work well in a team.
• Must have the right to work in Australia.
• Confident and professional approach.
• An excellent command of English.
