Cook - Fish Fix 'Fish & Chip' Food Van
Casual/Seasonal position required for September 2022 to May 2023
15-18 hours per week (Option to extend hours working in our seafood processing factory)
We are seeking a person with great cooking skills who has experience working in the hospitality sector.
Fish Fix is a street style fish ‘n chip’ van serving our fresh, local Factory Direct Seafood.
Located in the beautiful seaside town of Streaky Bay, South Australia. Our core business (Streaky Bay Marine Products is a seafood Wholesale & Retail Operation). The Fish Fix Van is located outside our factory, 12 Alfred Tce, Streaky Bay
Duties include:
• Cooking - takeaway meals in a 'street style' food van
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
• Providing leadership when on shift in the van, working with other staff.
Qualifications and experience:
• Experience in a similar working environment, roadhouse environment or hospitality industry preferred
• HACCP or other safe food handling training/certification
• High level customer service skills
• Effective organisational and time management skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise work
• Good problem solving skills
Duties will be mostly Cooking, although may include working in our seafood factory, processing & packing seafood.

Streaky Bay Fish Fix is our street style fish ‘n chip’ van serving our fresh, local Factory Direct Seafood, right out the front of our Factory.
We pride ourselves on exporting the luxurious Wild Caught Greenlip & Blacklip Abalone and supplying one of Australia’s best eating table fish, the King George Whiting. Other species include Snapper, Garfish, Gummy Shark, Southern Calamari, Spencer Gulf King Prawns, Southern Rock Lobster, Blue Swimmer Crabs & Oysters.
