Rydges Sydney Airport is a 4.5 star 318 room hotel located at Sydney International Airport. Recognised as the most booked hotel in Australia we have recently completed a refurbishment of our Ascot Restaurant and Smithy's Bar and also have 9 conference spaces, a roof top bar, lobby shop and gym.

About the role
We are currently seeking a professional and friendly Room Attendant, with a fast track possibility to Guest Service Agent. You will initially be reporting to the Executive Housekeeper. As a room attendant you are a key member of the Housekeeping team and are responsible for the cleaning operations of the hotel. You will also have a great opportunity to subsequently grow and develop your Front Office guest service skills.

The Successful Candidates needs to:
Clean guest rooms; including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and corridors to the hotels high standards.
Ensure all rooms are fully stocked with guest amenities
Ensure towels and linen are refilled, replaced and stored correctly
Report maintenance requirements
Report any lost property following correct hotel procedures
Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly
Use appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained
Ensure all WH&S policies and procedures are followed

Skills and experience
Effective communication and sales skills
Previous Industry experience
Previous knowledge and experience using Opera
Ability to process reservations
Understanding reservations policies, cancellations and other policies.
Great upselling skills
Excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking and verbal & written communication
