Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) is the home of unconventional. At MCEC we do things a little differently. We bring fresh ideas and imagination to every event. About the roles
We have a number of great opportunities available across our Food and Beverage team where you’ll have the opportunity to support us to deliver a range of amazing events. We have casual opportunities for Food and Beverage/Catering Attendants; Setups Attendants; Retail Attendants. These are opportunities where you’ll work with highly skilled and talented team members committed to providing the highest levels of quality and service delivery.
Roles available:
Food and Beverage/Catering/Setups Attendants – $28.05 per hour
- Flexible availability across 7 days a week, day and evening
- High level of personal presentation and grooming
- Excellent work ethic – Reliable, punctual, positive attitude, resilient
- Thrive on being part of and contributing to a high performing team
- Able to provide a high level of customer service across MCEC.
- Prepare and pack down event space – e.g. handling furniture or stock (not limited to)
- Must hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
- Be 18 years or over and have valid working rights in Australia
- Physically fit – you’ll be walking majority of your shift and at times lifting/moving equipment and furniture
- Able to abide to OH&S policy and procedure
Desirable
- Qualified barista
- Previous bartending experience
- Basic food preparation skills
- Previous POS experience
- Food Handling Certificate
- Previous experience working in a large entertainment venue
About you
You’ll be reliable, punctual and have a positive attitude towards work. We’re looking for people who thrive on being part of and contributing to a team and who want to help us create amazing experiences for ourcustomers. Depending on the role(s) you’re interested in, you may need a valid RSA certificate, be physically fit and have a background in fast paced, high volume environments.
You’ll also need:
- To be a minimum of 18 years of age
- To be flexible with availability depending on shift requirements
- Have valid working rights in Australia
