Berry Picker

Strawberries are one of summer’s most iconic flavours, bringing back simple memories like tucking into freshly washed strawberries after a busy day at the beach. At Naturipe Fruits’ strawberry picking farm, we’ve got a reputation for the best berries in town. Our picking season is from mid October to end of may.

Picking:
= You start early in the morning (7a.m) and will be picking strawberries directly from the plants using a picking trolley.
= You're seated and shaded as you pick your way up & down the strawberry rows gently plucking ripe and ready berries From the plants and placing them into the field harvest trays.
=You work alone on your own trolley.

Work pattern:
• 5 or 6 days a week, Monday to Sunday with rostered crew day off

Pay rates:
All pickers are put on as a casual employee and are paid by the kilo. The piece rate (the dollar rate per kilo), is determined each day by the harvest supervisor.

Requirements:
We do not require that our pickers have past experience picking Strawberries, just that you are willing to take the time and learn. Keep in mind, there will be good days and bad days as you learn the process.
