Mental Health Caseworker

Be Recruitment is currently seeking a Caseworker for a Housing and Homelessness program in Sydney with a leading Not for Profit. The role is a full-time position based in Sydney, supporting families and individuals with complex needs to sustain their tenancy by providing psychosocial outreach support and case management. This program is designed to help people living in social housing who are at risk of failure to address the issues affecting their tenancy.

Duties:
Support clients through strength-based and recovery support to clients to manage risk, goal plan and implement support services to adults with mental illness
Build key working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as Social Workers, Psychologist, GP's and other Allied Health professionals
Experience working with CALD communities
Fantastic interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Maintain clear and precise safety plans, support plans and assessments
Demonstrated understanding of recovery principles
Work collaboratively in a team

Skills and experience required:
Minimum of two years’ experience, ideally in a community mental health program
Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or similar
Current NSW driver's license is essential
