Cook Or Chef

The Khancoban Alpine Inn is located at the western entrance to Kosciuszko National Park within the Snowy Valleys LGA.
The venue is seeking the services of a competent cook and/or chef to run a reasonably busy kitchen.
The role is a temporary one (3 to 6 months) in where you'd be expected to, but not limited to, manage the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including menu updates, costings, general cleaning and maintenance and complying within health guidelines.

A minimum 40hr week is on offer and an expectation of evenings and weekends to be worked. In return an above award wage will be offered as well as accommodation (up to a couple) and meals.

Khancoban is a small town with a large tourism trade. The hotel has 36 rooms, 2 bars, large outdoor areas and bistro. The town has a 9-hole golf course, public swimming pool, post office, cafe/supermarket, roadhouse (servo), caravan park, a small popular for all watersports and it's approximately 2hrs drive to Albury/Wodonga or Wagga Wagga.

It is approx 80k to Thredbo and the NSW ski fields or mountain biking facilities and 110k to Jindabyne. There is plenty of camping and hiking tracks available within KNP as well.

This role would suit someone looking for summer work and then venturing to the snow season.
