The Role
An exciting opportunity is available at our workplace for an experienced Spray Painter. This position will be responsible for a diverse range of duties, including quality assurance, industrial spray painting and be involved in the process of making signs.

You will be responsible for:
- Preparing parts and assemblies for painting
- Mix paint and other materials according to specification or formula
- Ensure facility and spray-painting equipment are in good working condition
- Monitor machine gauges and equipment operation to discover defects/deviations from standards, and make necessary adjustments
- Identify and separate non-conforming parts or materials and report them to Team Leader
- Utilize spray gun and apply paint in conformance with all specifications
- Employ heat or oven paint drying techniques for special purpose finishes
- Follow company requirements to select paint, and match colours of paint following specified colour charts
- Maintain stock levels of all items required for the completion of duties and minor maintenance.
- Manage OH&S and environmental hazards in the paint bay and workplace
- To Paint (and do some assembly of) signs according to instruction set by the Production Management team and the Job sheet, as and when required.
- To be actively involved in Housekeeping and Spray of basic contact adhesives
- Use of basic hand tools
- Associated tasks including helping elsewhere in the factory

We are looking for some with the following attributes:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in spray painting
- Prior experience in Signage industry will be an added advantage
- Trade qualification in spray painting
- Eye for detail and quality
- Ability to learn new systems
- Forklift Licence is desirable
- Great team player, who understands the impact of poor quality, rework & missing the deadlines will have on other work stations.
- Work under direct supervision either individually or in a team
