Station Store Worker / All Rounder Wanted

I'm looking for our next all rounder superstar to help out in our station store, muck in with station life, gardening, clean and maintain buildings and staff accommodation. And anything else that might pop up!

This role is for one female on a rural and remote family owned and operated station 3 hours outside of Alice Springs NT. As well as being a busy cattle station, we also operate a station store that is open 10 am - 4 pm, 7 days a week. The store mostly services the local Indigenous communities as well as tourists. We sell fuel, fruit, meat, veg, cold drinks and fast food. We don't sell alcohol so no need for RSA.

The role:
50% of your time will be in the station store. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Serving customers
- Cooking fast / take away foods
- Restocking / rotating stock and maintaining stock levels
- Cleaning store: vacuum and mopping floor, cleaning fryers, food prep areas, shelves, counter tops, fridges etc

The other 50% will include:
- Helping with station animals (mainly chickens)
- Gardening and maintenance jobs around station buildings
- Cleaning houses and accommodation
- Daily monitoring and cleaning of the pool
-Helping with cooking staff meals
- Anything else that might pop up!


What I am looking for:
- A go-getter/s who is happy to muck in and get jobs done
- Good at time management and prioritising work load
- Has previous retail and or hospitality experience - this is a must!!
- Can cook yummy meals for staff
- Willingness to learn
- Has a positive outlook and wants to get the most from the experience
- Honest, polite and not afraid to ask questions
- Can adapt to living remotely
- Non-smoker
- Full manual drivers licence - all station vehicles are manuals. If you have your own car (4WD) that will be highly favourable but not essential
- English speaker
- Can start ASAP
