LOCATED ON MAGNETIC ISLAND NORTH QLD
We have work for accommodation positions available for couples, friends or singles all year round.
Easy work driving guest around the island, making beds and light cleaning.
The Accommodation: Our backpackers live in the share house behind, so you have your own space away from work.
The pay: Accommodation plus we provide breakfast daily, full use of all our amenities including snorkel gear, paddle boards and kyaks and use of a car with fuel provided when available. All this for 3 hours work a day with one day off a week to explore the Island or relax and have fun with new friends.
MUST HAVE A CURRENT DRIVERS LICENSE AND DRIVE MANUAL

Description:
The guesthouse was originally named Centaur House in memory of the Australian hospital ship Centaur. The ship was torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese submarine fifty miles off the coast of Brisbane on 14th May 1943, during World War11. Of the 332 persons on board, only 64 survived.
The land was first purchased in 1929, then transferred to the Townsville hospital for management by its trustee’s. The original building was constructed in 1946 and opened in 1947 as a holiday hostel for nurses.
In 1963,recognising the need for more accommodation on Magnetic Island, the property was leased out and converted into a guesthouse for tourists.
The property was subsequently sold to private enterprise in 2006. The new owners undertook a major redevelopment by adding new facilities, updating the amenities and and modernising the rooms.
Arcadia Beach Guesthouse is now one of the most popular holiday venues on the island and has been featured on the national television show
