Bar Supervisor

Based in the heart of town, the Newman Hotel offers full accommodation, dining and facilities to our guests. We are not like the usual services you might find in remote Western Australia and we pride ourselves on providing clean, modern facilities that are on-par with Perth metro standards.

We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced BAR SUPERVISOR to join our team!

As part of your role, you will be:
• Oversee staff and be actively involved in the bar service with the ability to motivate your team
• Taking the lead in marketing campaigns to drive revenue
• Ensuring the bar is kept clean and tidy to a high standard
• Stocktake
• Responsible for safe and secure handling of bar stocks, till operation and cash
• Extensive knowledge of cocktails, beers, spirits, liqueurs, and wine
• Creative input on cocktails menu and stock
• Help with the training of staff
• Coming up with event ideas and helping in execution
• Knowledge of kegs rooms
• Ability to follow strict RSA rules and all that come with the responsibility
• Good understanding of cash handling and till operation
• Self-motivated and motivator
• Excellent leadership
• Maintain an efficient bar and stock room
• Ability to lift cases of wine/beer and be on your feet for 8+ hrs
• Knowledge of table service: handling reservations, greeting customers, taking orders, bringing dishes, and cleaning tables.
• Work calmly under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Take responsibility for own actions
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good communication skills – written and verbal
