The ANZ Enviro Perth office is HIRING!
Join our awesome team as a Class A/B Leading Hand!
You will have the option of an immediate start at our established environmental clean-up firm that prides ourselves on having a great company culture. With strong safety ethos & a friendly working environment, we strive to always put the client first.
The role involves friable removals, other hazardous materials remediation and demolition works. There is occasional work away (typically a few days) as well as weekend and school holidays work due to the nature of the industry.
The ideal candidate is:
• Experienced within a similar position (asbestos experience considered an asset but not required)
• Valid Driver’s License & White Card
• Ability to get to various sites across the Perth metro area

Class A/B Leading Hand minimum
• Proactively assist Site Supervisor in take control of day to day running of the allocated site and staff within that site or work area and be able to adhere and be fully aware of all legislative requirements.
• Assist Site supervisor with ensuring all elements of work is completed to a high standard and meets or surpasses relevant legislation requirements.
• Assisting the site supervisor in ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with the ARCP and Scope of Works.
• To have all RPE /PPE/ personal tools maintained in a clean, serviceable, and presentable manner.
• To wear company clothing.
• To be able to provide support and assistance for the site supervisor in leading, guiding and safely managing a removalist team on site, and to train staff including trainees where required.
• Ensure coordination with site supervisor on all plant equipment, materials and any other resources.
• Assisting the site supervisor with ensuring all health and safety obligations, company policies, procedures and compliance are meet.
• Provide assistance when asked by the site supervisor with ensure the project runs smoothly with all parties including but not limited the asbestos assessor and client.
• Ensuring all project scheduling and timeframes are being met by reporting daily to the site supervisor on project progress.
• If required, assisting the site supervisor with coordination of clearances with Asbestos Assessor
• Report all scope creep and potential variations to site supervisor for confirmation of costs.
• Ensure all accidents are reported immediately to site supervisor.
• Assisting site supervisor with coordination of subcontractors where required i.e skip bin change overs
• Ensuring plant and equipment is looked after and maintained by all staff onsite.
• Leading hands are expected to work daily within the Asbestos work area with all staff.
• To assist with any works involving plant and machinery
• To be able to drive company vehicles to and from site
• Inspect and ensure all plant and equipment required for servicing is notified to site supervisor.
• With the assistance of the site supervisor, ensure job is run productively.
