Barista X 2 And Cook/kitchen Hand

Join our dynamic team in the heart of Thredbo, nestled amidst the picturesque Snowy Mountain Kosciuszko region of New South Wales.

We have 3 casual opportunities available for the upcoming winter season, we are seeking 2 experienced baristas to craft exceptional coffee experiences in our cozy café and an experienced cook/kitchen hand to craft mouthwatering breakfasts and satisfying lunches and delectable foods.

Barista Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the café.
Provide friendly customer service.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations.

Barista Requirements:
Proven experience as a Barista.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work varied shifts.

Cook/Kitchen Hand Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including breakfast dishes, with a focus on quality and presentation.
Ensure all food preparation and cooking adhere to health and safety regulations and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment sanitation.
Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed.
Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with guests to ensure their satisfaction and address any special dietary requirements or preferences.

Cook/Kitchen Hand Requirements:
Proven experience as a Cook in a café or similar food service establishment.
Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and quality under pressure.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant culinary qualifications preferred.
