Machinery/sprayer/harvest Operator

Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes, supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains.

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated operators of harvesters, tractors and sprayers to join our team on a full-time permanent basis at our Parilla site located approximately 2.5 hours from Adelaide in the Murray Mallee, South Australia.

Duties may include:
General Broadacre work with seeding and harvesting
Undertake planting, cultivation and harvesting duties
Operate and control the use of equipment in the production of horticultural and broad acre crops
Operate and maintain spray equipment
Operate tow behind or self-propelled sprayers
Timely application of chemical and nutrient mixes to crops as required
Maintain, repair, and complete basic level maintenance on farm machinery
Maintain logs and records as per company procedures
Observe and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures

To be successful in the role you will need following:
Experience with self-propelled spraying
Basic Mechanical knowledge
Large Machinery driving knowledge
Self-Motivated
Honest
Full / unrestricted driver’s license
Experienced in the use of harvesters / tractors / sprayers
Good Communication Skills
Excellent attitude

Previous relevant experience is required either working as a mobile plant/harvest or/and spray operator. Machinery operating ability is a must.

This position will require Weekend and night work in line with production demands.
