Farm jobs in Gold Coast
Boasting long stretches of white sandy beach, world-class surf and an unrivalled nightlife, the Gold Coast is one of Australia’s most popular destinations for backpackers. It’s famed for its theme parks, such as Wet’n’Wild and Dreamworld, as well as lush rainforests in the Gold Coast Hinterland for hikers to explore.
Farm jobs in the Gold Coast for backpackers can be hard to come by and you’re best option is to venture into the rural towns to the west. There’s year-round work harvesting vegetables in Boondah which is situated around 100 kilometres from the Gold Coast. Stanthorpe which lies further inland also has farm jobs picking apples, pears and tomatoes from January through to April, with some work harvesting stone fruit during November and December on nearby orchards. It’s too far to commute to the Gold Coast on a daily basis, but weekends could still be spent soaking up the sun, surf and sand along this famous stretch of coastline.
