Farm jobs in Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast has plenty of opportunities for harvesting and packers. Ginger pickers and processors will be needed between February and April or July until September. Strawberry planters are needed between March and April. Once the plants are ready to harvest, pickers will be needed or a few months between July and November.
There are many lime farms along the Sunshine Coast so backpackers are often hired to pick and pack the fruit for a few months in April. There is also work to be had pruning the trees year-round.
Other farm jobs in the Sunshine Coast include tree planters to help prepare for the upcoming fruit seasons or replace trees that have recently been felled.
If you’re looking for more animal-based farm work, there are many horse farms along the Sunshine Coast that hire backpackers to tend to the horses. Duties will include feeding and grooming the horses, cleaning out paddocks, erecting fences and occasional gardening.
